The winners of the 8th
annual PRimus Awards — presented by the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Public
Relations Society of America — were based on how well submissions met criteria
such as research, planning, implementation, results and design.
The Sierra-Nevada Chapter
of the association judged this year’s awards. Five winners were chosen for the
top award. Tucson Newspaper was recognized for its Human Flag Poster. Caliber
Communications Group Inc. won for the following projects: a GTEC Press Kit for
the “Clusters and the New Economy” Conference, Triumph Builders’ Logo and
Identity Package, Diamond Ventures Affordable Housing Study and the Commerce
Bank of Arizona Introduction Campaign.
Winners of the awards of
merit included Jo Marie Gellerman and the University of Arizona Department of
Ophthalmology’s “Gift of Sight” Video; Caliber Communications Group Inc.’s GTEC
Publicity for the “Clusters and the New Economy Conference; Mary Rowley of the
Nordensson Group, the Desert Museum member Newsletter; and Susan Guerrero’s
Edge Charter School website.
Held each year in the
fall, the awards recognize excellence among public relations and communications
